Application for 2009 Enrollment for Municipal Kindergartens
Municipal kindergartens will be
accepting applications for 3 and 4
year-olds as shown in the table.
* For details about the number of
seats available and other information,
contact the school after November
11.
For the 2009 school year, applications
for children age 3 are only accepted
by Nakanocho, Shirokanedai, and
Nijinohashi Kindergarten.
Eligibility
Applicants must fulfill all of the criteria below.
- Living with the parent/guardian in Minato City
- The parent/guardian is able to accompany the child to and from school
- Born within the following
periods
3-Year Olds: April 2, 2005-April 1, 2006
4-Year Olds: April 2, 2004-April 1, 2005

Location: Municipal kindergartens,
School Affairs Section of the
Secretariat of the Board of Education
at City Hall, Regional City Offices,
and Daiba Annex.
Application period and hours
Applications will be accepted at the
kindergarten of your choice or the
School Affairs Section.
To verify your address, please bring a
copy of your Resident's Registration
and Foreign Registration.
Date/time: Wed. 11/26~Fri. 11/28
Kindergartens: 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
School Affairs Section: 8:30 a.m. to
5:15 p.m.
Drawing
In case of oversubscription, a random drawing will be held. Applicants will be notified of the drawing schedule.
Health checkup
All applicant children must undergo a health checkup conducted at kindergartens before admission is confirmed. You will be notified by the school closest to you.
Enrollment fee and tuition
Enrollment fee: 1,000 yen
Annual tuition: 57,200 yen
* 4,800 yen monthly, except in March,
which is 4,400 yen
Extended-hour care
The extended-hour care service is offered at Takanawa and Nijinohashi kindergartens.
