This picture is of the Kyu Shimbashi
Teishajo, the Old Shimbashi Station.
Shimbashi is the point of origin for
Japan's first railroad. This spot now
bristles with skyscrapers so it is hard to
imagine that the original Shimbashi
Station used to be here.
The Old Shimbashi Station is a replica of
the original Shimbashi station building.
There is also the Railroad History
Exhibition Room inside this building.
You can learn what it was like at that
time.
