Seasonal Tradition ~April~

Image Do you know the Japanese national flower? It is Sakura. Sakura is the Japanese name for a cherry tree and its flowers.
In Japan, the fiscal and academic year begins in April. People start their new lives with sakura flowers. It is one reason Japanese people love sakura.
You can see many flower-viewing scenes called hanami in this season.
People enjoy talking, eating, drinking, singing, and dancing under cherry trees.
In Minato City, there are several hanami spots - not only very famous places such as Tokyo Tower, Zojo-ji, and Shiba Park but Higashi-Yatsuyama Park, Nogi Park, Aoyama Cemetery, Raijinyama Children's Park, Korin Temple. Please visit and see beautiful cherry flowers, but please be careful not to drink too much.
