 1.Minato City Traditional Culture Showcase — Rakugo in English 〜 Japanese Traditional Comedy 〜

 

Enjoy Shinoharu Tatekawa, a Rakugo storyteller telling Rakugo stories in English.

There will also be time to experience a simple, short story. No Japanese explanation available.

 2.31st Minato City / Beijing Chaoyang District Elementary and Junior High School School Student Pen Pal Exhibition

Through this friendship and exchange program, elementary and junior high school students from Chaoyang District, Beijing and Minato City exchange letters and pictures to present about their regions to each other.

  5.Traffic Personal Accidental Insurance for City Residents

Traffic Personal Accidental Insurance for City Residents is a low-cost insurance system for those who are injured in a car accident to receive the insurance based on the hospital stay days and outpatient treatment days/period.

Bicycle liability insurance is also available for those who own/use/manage a bicycle or wheelchair to compensate when they injure someone or break someone’s property with their bicycle or wheelchair.

Starting at the next application term, we have revised the premiums and enhanced compensation.

For details of the insurance including plans and premium, please read the insurance leaflet (Japanese only) available at Minato regional city offices or access the Minato City website.

The annual Shibakoen Plum Blossom Festival will be held this year!

Would you like to feel the coming spring in a quiet park listening to koto music? You can also enjoy an open-air tea ceremony while you look at the plum blossoms. In an open-air tea ceremony, you can enjoy tea and green tea outdoors.

 8.Tokyo Chuo Library Exhibition — Tokyo, Now and Then — Prosperous Transition Brought on by Railway Development

Using the rich materials stored at the Tokyo Municipal Chuo Library, we will compare the past and present spread of prosperity through Tokyo,

brought on by the Edo period prosperity and railway development starting in the Meiji era.

(Closed Thursday, February 1, Friday, February 16, and Thursday, March 1)

The February issue of English publicity paper “MINATO MONTHLY” has been published.

You can recognize this month’s issue by the photo of children playing in a park. The issue introduces people actively working in the city.

The paper offers you useful information relating to the public administration and community events.
