Day Nurseries and After-School Club provide services to watch children during the day time while their parents are working. Temporary day care service for infants (Minato Hotto Room) is also available to mothers raising children at home.

How to Apply, etc.Komusubi contributes to the growth of children and backs up city residents' support activities by linking those in need of childcare assistance (user members) and those who support childcare (volunteer members). You can utilize the service after registering as either a user or as a volunteer at Minato Council for Social Welfare. Please contact us for details.

After-school ClubAfter-school Club is held inside Children's Halls for lower elementary school children whose parents cannot care for them after school at home due to work or other reasons, in order to provide them a place of daily life and healthy growth.
EligibilityFirst grade to third grade children residing in Minato City or enrolled in elementary schools in Minato City who fulfill one of the following criteria:

Individual Children's Hall
After-Hours Child Care Support ServiceSome Minato City kindergartens offer After-Hours Child Care Support Service. It is a service by which kindergarten children are cared for after the usual operating hours.
Available Kindergartens and EligibilityTakanawa Kindergarten and Nijinohashi Kindergarten provide this service for their currently enrolled kindergarten children.
Available Days and HoursMonday to Friday (except on the kindergartens' closing days)End of regular hours to 4:30 pm
Other InformationUsing the service involves an extra charge besides the regular kindergarten fee. To apply to the abovementioned kindergartens, contact:

Full-time housewives can relieve fatigue from childrearing and use the service in case of sudden illness. We take appointments from up to one month in advance until noon the day before use of the service.
