Peace Exhibition

Connecting to the Future and Hoping for Peace: Minato City to the World

Minato City stands firmly behind its appeal for global peace and a world without nuclear weapons. The Peace Exhibition will be held at five venues in the city until August 15. Admission is free.

The War and Keio University: Academia at War Time

An exhibition of school-related materials from wartime including photo exhibition, Tokyo air raid materials, a panel on activities of the Youth for Peace and more.

Let’s Learn Visually: Global Conflicts, Disputes in the Middle East

A photo exhibition on the Arab–Israeli conflict and the Gulf War.

Assembly for Peace

This event features an orchestra peace concert and Minato City Youth for Peace activity report. We are looking forward to see you all there.

Exhibition Items for Rent

1) Mini exhibition on atomic bombs

Minato City lends out photo panels related to the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki to organizations based in Minato City. An applications form is downloadable from the Minato City Web. Please apply at least two weeks prior to usage. There are 22 English-version and 20 Japanese-version A2-sized landable panels.

2) Mini peace exhibition set

Minato City lends out three peace exhibition sets on the topics of clothing, living and eating that are compiled from books, videos and objects. The sets can be rented for a limit of two-weeks for any organizations based in Minato City. Among the objects are wartime replicas, clothing used during blackouts and air raid prevention. We invite you to join us for one minute of silent prayer.
For victims of the Hiroshima atomic bomb: Thursday, August 6, 8:15 a.m.
For victims of the Nagasaki atomic bomb: Sunday, August 9, 11:02 a.m.
For war victims: Saturday, August 15, Noon
