A Guide to Furniture-tipping Prevention Aid

Supporting disaster prevention measures in the home

Minato City provides furniture-tipping prevention aids for registered residents in Minato City in order to minimize harm to residents at the time of an earthquake.
According to surveys conducted by the Tokyo Fire Department, 30-50% of injuries sustained during earthquakes in recent years were caused by falling or tipping furniture.
As a disaster prevention measure, Minato City offers assistance in the form of aid and in fixing furniture in place.
