1.Introduction of shops that collaborated with us on the Commercial District Multilingual Support Improvement Project. 【Suzukiya】

商店街 鈴木屋

Minato City helps shops in the city communicate with customers in foreign languages.

This is one restaurant we supported.

【Suzukiya】

Suzukiya was founded in 2000 as a mom and pop restaurant specializing in pork offal. We also have daily recommendations for guests who are new to offal. Please contact us. Enjoy fresh pork offal cuisine. Our restaurant does not require reservations, so stop by any time! However, we close when we run out of stock, so we recommend coming early. Once you try our offal with our original sauce or salt, you’ll keep coming back for more. In addition to our standard menu, we recommend our tsukune (meat ball) with raw green peppers as well. We hope you will give it a try!

 9. 2018 Minato Citizen’s University at Temple University, Japan Campus (TUJ)“Community”

What is a community? The dictionary defines community as "a group of any size whose members reside in a specific locality, share government, and often have a common cultural and historical heritage." However, rapid technological development and globalization have changed the nature of our communities while expanding the meaning of what a community can be. These changes have made it difficult for us to recognize what communities we belong to and what physical and social spaces we share as communities. This is especially true in large, interconnected, global city like Tokyo.

TUJ faculty will examine the meaning and role of community in modern society from a variety of perspectives. We hope this event will be an opportunity for you to think about what community means to you and how you fit in and interact with your community or communities.
