1. Shops that can provide customer assistance in English and Chinese.

マニュアル見本

With the cooperation of the merchants in Minato City’s shopping district, we are working on creating a free customer service manual for dealing with English and Chinese-speaking customers.

The manual will enable shop owners and staff to show customers around their shops and offer brief product descriptions which make sense to foreign visitors.

We are featuring all of the participating shops on our website, so please have a look.

http://www.city.minato.tokyo.jp/kokusaika/syoutengai29.html (Japanese only)

You can also use the AI chatbot to search for shops.

When you enter keywords such as “Japanese sweets”, or “Noodles”, Grunya will tell you which shops to visit. Please give it a try.

Please access the Facebook page “Minato Information Board” (https://facebook.com/city.minato.mib/(external link)) and use the Messenger application.

Details can be found in the 6th article. Please have a look.

4. Public Relations program “Feel your Minato with your fellow ward residents” is currently being broadcast.

“Feel your MINATO with the residents” features residents and organizations who are active in the city, and provides a description of those activities. It is a bilingual broadcast in Japanese and English.

In the November broadcast, we’ll be talking about how residents who are coming of age will plan and create their own content for the "Coming of Age Day Celebration Gathering", to be held in January 2020.

In addition, we are going to talk about the “MINATO Flag System”, a program whereby residents and businesses cooperate to create a town in which residents can feel safe and have fun even after dark. We’ll be hearing from business owners who have a “Minato Flag” at their stores as evidence that they are respectable establishments actively following the rules of the city.
