1.Sale of Minato City gift certificates with "premium" coupons (Smile vouchers)

In order to increase sales at stores and in shopping districts within the city that have been negatively affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and encourage residents to go shopping, we will issue gift certificates with "premium" coupons (Smile vouchers) which can be used at participating shops in the city, and which will provide users 20-30% more purchasing power. 

Please apply online or by using the postcard available on the leaflets. If there is a large number of applicants, a lottery will be held.

2.Guide to rest and recreation facilities for Minato City residents

We operate rest and recreation facilities that can be used by all Minato City residents.
1. Atagawa Prince Hotel 2. Ohiradai Minato-So

When using these facilities, please make sure to implement infectious disease prevention measures such as taking your temperature before departure and wearing a mask.

Depending on the COVID-19 situation, services at these facilities could suddenly become unavailable.

User registration is required to use the facilities.

Those who have completed the user registration can apply through the Minato City rest and recreation facility reservation system.

3.Digital History of Minato City

A digital archive that connects the history of Minato City to its present and future.

We are digitizing historical materials, such as old documents, photographs, maps, and city government-related data, that have been collected and organized for a new compilation of Minato City history.

4.Residents are receiving unfamiliar packages from overseas

Residents are receiving packages from overseas which they do not remember ordering.
If you suddenly receive a package you don't remember ordering, ask yourself the following questions.

(1) Is it possible that it is a package ordered by one of your friends or family members?
(2) Are there any items that you purchased on the Internet that have not yet arrived?

If neither (1) nor (2) applies, you can handle it by referring to the following.

If the parcel is unopened, please explain the situation to the carrier and confirm whether or not you can refuse to receive it.

If asked for payment, do not pay for an item that you do not remember ordering. If you see a charge you are not familiar with on a credit card or other billing statement, please contact the credit card company immediately to discuss possible fraudulent billing or changing your card number.

5.Interpretation services are available on tablet devices

Interpreters, displayed on the screens of tablet devices, interpret the conversations between foreign residents and Minato City officials. Interpreters can interpret while looking at the speaker’s facial expressions, allowing for a smoother conversation. Those who need interpretation services should ask a staff member at the help counter.

6.There is a new multilingual AI chat!

It is now easier to use our service, which utilizes AI in a chat-format, to automatically get answers to your inquiries about administrative information! It is easier to understand with simple search methods which employ multiple choice options, as well as maps and images.
