4."Christmas Garden" is being held at Shibakoen!

Minato City is promoting the "30/10 Campaign" with the aim of reducing food loss (food that could be eaten but is thrown away).

◇ Schedule: Wednesday, December 16 to Friday, January 15

◇ The 30th of each month is “Refrigerator Clean Up Day”
Use foodstuffs in your refrigerator that are close to the “best before” date or expiration date, as well as perishable vegetables and meat, for cooking.

◇ The 10th of each month is "Don’t Throw it Away Cooking Day”
Use vegetable peels and leftovers that you would usually throw away to make new dishes.

◇ Avoid buying food in bulk, and purchase only the amount you need. Conduct a regular inventory of the foods and ingredients in your house.

◇ Reducing food loss helps reduce the amount of garbage in the city. We appreciate your cooperation.

5.We ask for your continued cooperation with regard to electricity and energy conservation

Winter is a season when electricity consumption increases due to the use of air conditioners and lighting in both homes and offices.

We can switch to an electricity and energy-saving lifestyle without giving up comfort by endeavoring to do things like adjusting to differences in temperature by changing your clothes, trying to keep the room temperature set at 20 degrees Celsius, and always being sure to turn off lights that aren’t being used. We ask for your continued cooperation in promoting environmentally-friendly behavior.
