1.Measures implemented at municipal facilities and businesses based on the declaration of a state of emergency

Based on the national declaration of a state of emergency and the emergency measures implemented in the Tokyo metropolitan area, Minato City has decided to implement the following measures for its facilities and businesses.

The following city-owned facilities (including some businesses) close at 20時00分.

Period: From Saturday, January 9th until the final day of the state of emergency

Minato City Center for Traditional Culture, Civic Center, Residents' Collaboration Space (limited),
Commerce and Industry Hall, Minato Workers' Welfare Hall, Iki-iki Plaza,
Nursing Independence General Center, Ui Kea Minato, Health Improvement Center,
Gender Equality Center “Libra”, Lifelong Learning Center “Balloon”, Aoyama Lifelong Learning Hall,
Minato City Sports Center, Hikawa Budojo Martial Arts Hall, public-access school facilities and pools.

2.Information counter crowding & real-time notification service

Notifications regarding crowding status for the information counters at each Regional City Office and Residents Support Section (certificates, address changes, family register amendments, advice for National Health Insurance, Pension, Resident Tax, etc.), including the "number of people waiting" and "the queue number currently being served", will be delivered real-time. Please check from your mobile phone or computer using the dedicated site link below and use it for your reference when visiting the office.

For moving notifications, birth registrations, marriage registrations, etc., it may be necessary to call all relevant organizations for confirmation, and in some cases, it may take considerable time to complete the procedures, so please schedule extra time for your visit.

1. Payment slip with a convenience store payment processing bar code
2. Dedicated smartphone application (please download in advance.)

Eligible taxes
Special district resident tax / metropolitan resident tax (general collection), light vehicle tax (classification rate)

Instructions for use
1. Download the compatible application on your smartphone and register as a user.
2. Charge electronic money through the application.
3. Read the barcode used for convenience store payment processing on your payment slip.
4. Check the payment details displayed on the screen and make payment.

4.How to handle large-sized waste (* You need to apply to the reception center in advance!)

Opening of a temporary Center for Large-sized Waste

A telephone operator working at the Center for Large-sized Waste tested positive for COVID-19. Under the direction of the public health center, the number of operators was reduced, and currently it is very difficult to get through to a telephone operator. For this reason, we opened a temporary Center for Large-sized Waste (0570-03-7000) on Monday, December 21st, at which only new applications are being handled.

Currently, it takes about one month from the time of application to collection for large-sized waste, and about two and a half months from the time of application for "direct drop-off" to the Shibaura Waste Collection Work Office.

5.“Online Minato Citizens' Festival”

In response to the cancellation of the 2020 (39th) Minato Citizens' Festival, we held the "Online Minato Citizens' Festival" so that participants could announce the achievements of their initiatives!
