Multilingual interpretation services using tablets

An interpretation service via tablet is available in several municipal facilities. An interpreter will appear on the screen of a tablet, and interpret the communication between foreign resident and Minato City staff.
This interpretation solution will eliminate the language barrier between foreign residents and city staff. Also, municipal services will be provided smoothly and adequately for residents who need language assistances.

Available languages

English, Chinese, Korean, Thai, Spanish, Russian, Vietnamese, Nepali, Indonesian, Tagalog, and Portuguese

Hours

Weekdays: 8:30 a.m. to 5:15 p.m., extended to 7 p.m. on Wednesdays

Available places

Tablets are available at the 3rd floor of Minato City Hall, Regional City Offices, Minato Recycling and Waste Management Office, Children and Families Support Center, and Minato Public Health Center.
