Preventing Outbreak of the Novel Coronavirus

The Prime Minister has declared a state of emergency in response to the spread of the Novel Coronavirus disease/COVID-19 on April 7. The number of infections of COVID-19 is rapidly increasing in Tokyo. In order to prevent explosive outbreaks of infections, it is important for each resident to be aware and cautious of this present situation.

• Avoid going out unless necessary.
• Avoid closed spaces with insufficient ventilation, crowded places with many people nearby, and conversations in short distance.
• If you came to Japan and stayed in a community designated by the government, refrain from going outside for 14 days from the day you came to Japan.

In order to prevent the spread of infections, wash your hands and try to avoid close-contact settings.
