September 30 is the Traffic Accident Elimination Day and the Autumn National Traffic Safety Campaign is held from September 21 to 30.
The number of traffic accidents and casualties in Minato City in the first half of 2020 decreased by 257 and 299 respectively, from the same period last year. Please obey traffic rules and manners to reduce traffic accidents.
1. Maintaining the safety of pedestrians, children, and cyclists
2. Obey safe rides for senior drivers
3. Preventing drunk driving and traffic accidents at night
4. Preventing bike accidents
Please obey traffic rules. Wearing reflective gear is an effective way to prevent traffic accidents at night.
Use reflective stickers on your bicycles and always turn on your lights at night to prevent traffic accidents. Both adults and children should wear helmets when riding bicycles.
Insurance enrollment has become compulsory for cyclists in Tokyo from April 1, 2020. Please enroll in insurance to secure yourself in case an accident occurs.
