Recruitment of English Support Teachers

Higashimachi Elementary School and Nanzan Elementary School are seeking new English Support Teachers (EST) to assist in their English Support Courses for the 2022 academic year, from April 1, 2022 to March 31, 2023.

Job Description

This is a part-time teaching position for five days, weekdays and some Saturdays.

Responsibilities

Successful candidates will support Japanese teachers during English classes; cooperate and collaborate with homeroom teachers; teach different subjects in English; translate and write various study materials and school-related documents in English; provide consultation to children and guardians in English and other related duties.

Requirements

Applicants must meet all criteria below:

• Should be a native English speaker or have equivalent English proficiency, and have teaching experience with children
• Have a Japanese working permit
• Have Japanese skills and able to communicate with other Japanese staff.

Salary
