Human Rights Week

12/4 to 10 is Human Rights Week.
The Universal Declaration of Human Rights was adopted by the United Nations General Assembly on 12/10, in order to ensure human rights as a common standard that should be achieved for all people. Since then, 12/10 has become the Human Rights Day.
In Japan, 12/4 to 10 has established as “Human Rights Week” in order to raise public awareness for the respect of human rights through various events on the topic.
This year is the 75th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
