Overview of the FY2023 Initial Budget

Outline of the Budget

Budget that protects resident's life and industry; Minato City with smile and vitality.

Total Budget

The General Account Budget is ¥163.27 billion, and the total budget for all accounts, including special accounts for health care, and others, is ¥212.23 billion.

1. Protecting residents’ life and industry from rising prices and flourishing the city
¥2,748 million

Protect resident’s life and industry by responding to changing society

Subsidizing fee for using job hunting sites and participating in job hunting meetings

 

Expanding support for purchasing software

 

Support flourishment of streets

Holding a PR video contest of
Shopping Streets in the City

 

Holding a digital quiz rally themed by
Tokugawa Ieyasu and Katsu Kaishu

 

Eradicate greenhouse gas emissions

Dispatching an advisor for decarbonization
to businesses in the City

 

Providing gift tickets for changing into electricity made from 100% renewable energy

 

2. Measures to realize a vibrant and self-fulfilling life for resident overcoming from the experience of COVID-19

Protect lives and health of residents

Installing AEDs in additional locations other than city-owned facilities

Shorting the decision of test results for HIV and syphilis to the same day

Introducing AI to improve the accuracy of lung cancer screening

 

Enhance opportunities for exercise

Holding Rugby experience class and Public Viewing for 2023 World Cup

Measures to maintain an active life

Conducting integrated heath services and nursing care

Expanding support for securing a place where people with disabilities can stay during daytime

3. Measures to provide a safe and secure living environment for residents

Reinforcing disaster prevention capability - 100 years since the Great Kanto Earthquake

Expanding subsidy for strengthening renovation to earthquake withstanding former-standard buildings

Enriching support to fire-fighting organizations

Distributing portable toilet to
the entire residents

Holding disaster awareness event, 100 years since the Great Kanto Earthquake

 

Measures to realize safe and comfortable community

Dispatching management advisor for promoting appropriate management of condominiums

 

Measures to realize a clean and beautiful city

Collect and dispose wastes illegally disposed in a private lot

 

4. Measures to make the City safe and secure for raising children
¥15,074 million

Support during pregnancy and the postpartum period

Increasing the number of passengers for “Minato City Community Bus Ticket” for postpartum and expectant mothers

Calculated ceiling for childbirth expense subsidy raised from ¥730,000 to ¥810,000.

Enhancing postpartum mother-child care

Support for facilities for preschool children

Providing subsidy to nursing school conducting temporary childcare when having vacancy in capacity

Support to families raising many children

Providing taxi tickets to families having two or more preschool children

Providing free ride on the Chiibus and Odaiba Rainbow Bus for preschool children

Efforts to improve the attractiveness of municipal schools

Creating opportunities for children

Support to High School Student Age Bracket

Support to senior citizens and disabled people

Increasing supporters for helping use of digital equipment

Providing a remote support to monitor the daily life by using a TV telephone

Improving public wireless LAN system

Strengthen the access points of Minato City Wi-Fi

Enhancing online application

Reservations for temporary childcare, etc. from LINE

Promoting digitalization of municipal office works
