Greater convenience with My Number Card

My Number is a system used in Japan in the three areas of social security, taxes, and disaster measures. When making for resident certificate for the first time after arriving in Japan, a 12-digit My Number will be issued. You will also receive a personal number notification letter by post, informing your My Number.
My Number Card has an IC chip, which is needed for enhancing the convenience of life in Japan. In addition for using as an official identification document, the e-certificate installed in the IC chip can be used for e-Tax. Also, it can be used to obtain certificates at convenience stores, such as certificates of residence. Application is necessary for the issuance of My Number Card.
