Municipal Kindergartens

Children who live in Minato City are eligible to enroll in municipal kindergartens in Minato City. There are 12 municipal kindergartens in Minato City. 10 of which offer three-year care, accepting children of ages three to five years. The other municipal kindergartens provide two years of care for four- and five-year-old children. Information on enrollment into municipal kindergartens is released around November every year. There are 14 private kindergartens in Minato City, and they provide three years of care. Applications are accepted every October for the following year.

Guardians of children living in Minato City who attend a private kindergarten may be eligible to receive a subsidy from the city.
