Other Forms of Support for Single-Parent Families (Single-father Families and Mother-child Families)
- Individuals in households receiving the child-rearing Allowance (Jido Fuyo Teate) can receive free passes for metropolitan Toei transportation services (metropolitan buses, trains, and subways) and free passes for the Minato City Community Bus (Chii Bus). The free passes can also be used for Daiba Shuttle Bus (Odaiba Rainbow Bus). These individuals are entitled to discounts on JR commuter pass.
- The city has a system for sending out home-helpers or babysitters to single-parent families having trouble with daily life due to the parent's temporary illness or other reasons. - Support is also available for single-parent families for activities promoting everyday stability, such as a loan program for various kinds of funds, job hunting, obtaining professional certifications, etc.
- To promote the independence and stability of mother-child families, the city has established facilities where mothers and their children can live together.
