Disaster Preparedness Supplies Available at Subsidized Prices

Minato City offers selected disaster preparedness supplies at special subsidized prices for residents who may have difficulty obtaining such items on their own.

Eligibility

Residents of Minato City who are registered as residents and meet any of the following criteria:

  1. Households consisting solely of people aged 65 or older
  2. Households consisting solely of people who hold a Physical Disability Certificate (Grades 1–3)
  3. Households consisting solely of people who hold an Ai-no-Techo
    (Intellectual Disability Certificate) (Levels 1–2)
  4. Households consisting solely of people who hold a Mental Disability Health and Welfare Certificate (Grade 1)
  5. Pregnant women who have received a Maternal and Child Health Handbook, or postpartum women up to the end of the month preceding the first anniversary of childbirth
  6. Households composed solely of individuals described in items (1) through (5)

Available Items and Prices

Residents of households exempt from resident tax are required to pay 10% of the listed price. Households receiving public assistance are exempt from all charges.
For details on available items and prices, please visit the Minato City website or refer to the brochure. Brochures are available at the Disaster Prevention Section (5th Floor, Minato City Office) and the Residents Support Section, Health and Welfare Subsection of each Regional City Office.

Application

Complete the Application Form for Disaster Preparedness Supply Subsidy Program and submit it by mail to:

Applications may be submitted in person to the Residents Support
Section, Health and Welfare Subsection of each Regional City Office.

*Applications are limited to one per household.
