Toward a New Era, Walking Together with Resident

At the first 2024 regular meeting of the Minato City Assembly that opened on 2/14, Mayor TAKEI Masaaki delivered a policy speech regarding the city administration. The Mayor stated, “We will tackle safe community development with all our energy to prepare for all manner of risks, such as natural disasters. We will achieve a Minato City where everyone can experience the joy of being born, growing, and living.”
He also stated various support measures for living in Minato City as “measures focused on the entire lifespan of residents, from children to the senior citizens”, including seamless support for child raising, health development for working age, support for the senior citizens so that they may always live in their own way, the achievement of a society of coexistence, a support for living in Minato City.
He further explained “Minato City’s unique measures to protect the safety and security of the people and achieve sustainable development”, including improving disaster preparedness, preparation for infectious diseases, nurturing industry in the city, internationalization promotion, passing down sustainable and comfortable urban environment to next generation, and utilizing digital technology to the city administration.
