Native Teachers are Sent to Municipal Schools

The Minato City Board of Education sends Native Teachers to International Studies classes in elementary schools and International English Studies classes in junior high schools, to help children develop their English-language communication abilities and progressively learn about the traditions and cultures of their own country and others according to their developmental stage, as well as to enrich their international understanding education.
From FY2024, as a new initiative, native teachers will be sent to all municipal kindergartens in Minato City, creating a foundation for international understanding and education from early childhood.
Native teachers are actively involved in lesson creation such as discuss the details of English-language activities and learning activities with the teachers in charge and develop teaching materials. During childcare and classes, we see children talk with native teachers, communicating with visible enjoyment.
