Fireworks Can Be Used in Parks and Children’s Parks

As a general rule, the use of fire in parks and children’s parks is not permitted, but the use of fireworks in some parks and children’s parks will be allowed so that children can make summer memories.

Fireworks may be used in small groups that include children

7/20 to 9/1, 6 to 8 p.m.

Parks and children’s parks selected by the City

Application

Not needed. Organizations who wish to use fireworks should inquire at the Community Development Section of Regional City Office.

Rules for use

1. Prepare a bucket of water
2. Do not light fireworks anywhere a fire could spread, including in the surrounding area
3. Take home all waste generated by the fireworks, etc.
4. Noisy fireworks and airborne fireworks, such as rockets and shooting fireworks, are not permitted, as they will bother residents and other users of the park
5. Do not run around with fireworks, or wave them around
6. After using fireworks, put out any fires and do a safety check that includes the surrounding area
7. Make sure you do not trouble residents or users of the park
8. If there are any complaints from residents or users of the park, stop immediately
9. Guardian must accompany
