Infant Short Stay
This facility provides care that involves accommodations for up to seven days for children whose guardians cannot care of them due to work, childbirth, or illness.
Fees: ¥3,000/day (¥6,000 for one night, two days)
* Households that are exempt from the resident tax need only pay half of the childcare fee. The entire fee is waived for households receiving public welfare assistance.

Child-rearing Support Komusubi (Minato City Family Support Center)
By linking people who need child-rearing support and people who want to provide that support, this program promotes the development of mutual support networks among residents. The program is established for providing community support for child-rearing. Users need to register in advance to use these services. Children from 0 years old to their sixth year in elementary school are eligible.
Services: Taking the children to and picking them up from childcare facilities and babysitting services, etc. while the guardians are out.
Hours: 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
*A single babysitting session is up to two hours.
Fees: ¥800/hour (400 yen per person for the second and subsequent children.)
*The user is responsible for transportation fees and the child’s meal costs.

Prenatal and Postnatal Domestic and Child-rearing Assistance Services
Home helpers or postpartum doulas are available to visit households in Minato City during pregnancy and immediately after childbirth, as well as those who have problems performing everyday activities, to provide housework and childcare support. Postpartum doulas are dedicated to mother and child support before and after birth.
Hours: 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. (two, three, or four hours/session/day)
Number of times: From pregnancy to the day before the child turns 3 years old.

Child-rearing Square“Ai-port”
Childrearing Hiroba
A Childrearing Hiroba is also established where parents of newborn to preschool-age children can spend a leisurely time. To use Childrearing Hiroba, member registration is required.
In-Home Temporary Childcare
Support members of the Ai-Port Station will visit and provide childcare services to families that need temporary support.
Intended audience: Infants 7 days and older to 6th graders
Services: Temporary childcare, post-hospitalization care and newborn care
Fees: Starting at ¥900/hour (It varies by the support services and days/timeframe requested.)
*Users are responsible for covering transportation fees, meal costs, and snack fees.

Temporary childcare
The care is provided to children aged 2 months to sixth graders on any day and for any reason. Users need to register in advance to use these services.

Childrearing Hiroba
These facilities provide places where parents caring for children can make friends. Childrearing consultation services and attend seminars are also provided.
Intended audience: Children under the age of three and their guardians who live in Minato City
Closed: Dec. 29 to Jan. 3, facility inspection day
Infant babysitting
Appy Shimbashi, Appy Azabu, Appy Nishi-azabu, Appy Akasaka, Appy Shirokanedai, Appy Shibaura, Appy Konan and Appy Konan, Appy Konan 4-chome also offer infant babysitting services. Appy Daiba do not offer this service.
Intended audience: Children aged four months to six years (not yet enrolled in elementary school)

Childrearing Hiroba
A Childrearing Hiroba where guardians and children under 3 can spend time playing and relaxing together is available.
Babysitting
Guardians can leave their children in the facility’s care for any reason (e.g., guardian’s illness, attending an event, refreshment, and so on).
Intended audience: Children aged four months to preschool age
Fees: Varies depending on the day of the week and time of the day. Contact the facility for details.
Twilight stay
Guardians can leave their children in the facility’s care when they cannot take care of their children in the evening due to work or other reasons.
Intended audience: Children aged six months to the third grade of junior high school who live in Minato City
Fees: ¥2,000 (Mon. to Sat.), ¥2,500 (Sun.)

Short stay

Minato Child Care Support
Minato Child Care Support provides families who cannot take care of their children due to their part-time jobs or short-time work and other reasons with childcare services. It is available up to 8 hours per day, 160 hours per month. The regular childcare service (once or more per week) and adhoc childcare service (irregular) are provided.
Intended audience: Children aged four months to preschooler age
Hours: 7:15 a.m. to 6:15 p.m. (up to 8 hours per day)
Closed: Sundays, national holidays, and January 1-3
Fees: [Less than 4 hours] ¥1,100; [4-6 hours] ¥1,650; [6-8 hours] ¥2,200
* Households that are exempt from resident tax and households receiving public welfare assistance are exempted from the fees.
*For the regular childcare service, a child with an older brother or sister is exempted from the fees.
