Prohibition of Illegal Bike-parking

Do not leave bicycles or scooters unattended in the roadway. Unattended bicycles can block the passage of pedestrians and the disabled, and can pose a serious hazard by blocking the passage of emergency vehicles. The areas around stations in Minato City have been designated as no-parking zones for bicycles. Abandoned bicycles and scooters are subjected to immediate impound.

 

Temporary Bicycle Storage Lots for Impounded Bicycles

Impounded bicycles and scooters are stored in a temporary bicycle storage lot. An impounding fee will be charged to the owner when he/she retrieves his/her bicycle or scooter. The fee is ¥2,000 for bicycles and ¥3,000 for scooters.
