Housing for Minato Citizens

Minato City provides rental housing to low/moderate-income families and individuals at an affordable price.

Key Eligibility

The applicant for rental housing, applicant's parent, applicant's parent-in-law, or applicant's partner's parent must be a resident of Minato City.
Foreign residents must have permission to be a permanent resident of Japan, or must have been living in Japan for more than one year.
Must be having problems securing housing.
Must currently be living with or planning to live with a family member (Applicable only to family housing) .
Must not be in arrears on resident tax payments.
Applicants and their prospective co-residents must not be members of a gang.

* The eligibilities for single-person housing units and senior-type designated public rental housing units are different from above.
