Moving into Minato City from Abroad

Submit a resident registration form within 14 days of moving into Minato City. When submitting the form,bring the following:

1. Passports and residence cards of all of your household members who are moving into Minato City If you are moving in as a family, documents that can verify your family relations are also required.
2. Marriage certificate
3. Birth certificate
4. Japanese translations of 2 and 3

 

Moving into Minato City from Another Municipality

Submit a resident registration form within 14 days of moving into Minato City. When submitting the form, bring the following:

1. Residence cards of all of your household members who are moving into Minato City
2. Certificate of moving out
3. Individual Number Cards for all family members

 

Moving within Minato City

Submit a change of address form within 14 days of changing the residence. When submitting the form, bring the following:

1. Residence cards of all of your household members who have changed their residence
2. Individual Number Card

 

Moving Out of Minato City

Submit a moving-out notice to Minato City Hall from about two weeks prior to the expected day of moving. Be sure to bring an Individual Number Card for every person who has one.

If family members are moving to different locations, each member of the family will be required to submit a moving-out notice.

For example, if the head of the household is moving from Minato City to Shibuya City, and his wife and children are moving from Minato City to abroad, separate moving-out notices must be submitted.
