Eligibility for the subsidy

Minato City residents who require care for their appearance due to treatment for cancer, other illnesses or injuries, etc.
*This subsidy is not available to those who are receiving the same type of subsidy based on other laws and regulations.

Products that the subsidy can be used for

Wigs, hats, chest prosthetics, epithesis prosthetics, and other items required by the subsidy recipient
*Not limited to medical use.

Subsidy amount

Up to ¥100,000
*Up to two applications per person may be submitted.

Application deadline

Within one year from the day after the date of purchase or rental of the subsidized item

Documents required for application

1. Application form for Minato City’s subsidy for the purchase of appearance care products for cancer patients, etc.
2. Documents that show that care for appearance is necessary
3. Receipt
4. Copies of identification documents of the applicant and the subsidy recipient
5. A copy of a document that confirms the bank account to which the payment is to be transferred

Application Method

Please submit the application form along with documents 2. to 5. either electronically, by mail, or at the service desk.
