Odaiba Kaihin Park

Extending across a stretch of manmade sand beach about 800m long, Odaiba Kaihin Park is a popular destination for tourists and families. Visitors can enjoy a variety of water play activities on the beach. Rainbow Bridge and clusters of high rises are visible from the beach. They create an attractive urban backdrop. Odaiba Kaihin Park is expected to serve as an Olympic and Paralympic Games Tokyo 2020 stadium in 2021.

Museum of Marine Science, Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology

The Museum of Marine Science, Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology collects, maintains, manages, and exhibits specimens and others that are related to marine sciences and technology. It houses materials that are rare in the world.
In addition to the above, the Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology offers the Whale Gallery. In the Whale Gallery, the complete skeletal specimens of right whales and gray whales are exhibited. Other exhibits include the Unyo Maru, a research vessel that contributed to the development of the fishery in Kamchatka and the crab factory ship industry.

Rainbow Bridge

Rainbow Bridge connects Shibaura and Daiba. At 798m in length and standing more than 50m above the water, it is one of eastern Japan's largest suspension bridges. The bridge has a two-tiered structure. The Metropolitan Expressway No. 11 Daiba Route runs along the upper deck. The lower deck accommodates the Rainbow Promenade (a pedestrian sidewalk), Rinko Road, and Yurikamome, the Tokyo waterfront new transit line. Visitors who take a stroll along the Rainbow Promenade can enjoy expansive views of Tokyo Bay while crossing.

Open hours of Rainbow Promenade: April to October: 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

November to March: 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
*It may be closed as necessary during stormy weather.

Toll: No charge

Closed: 3rd Monday of every month (open when 3rd Monday is a national holiday and closed on the following day)
