Let’s take this opportunity to think about protecting animals and being responsible pet owners.

●Living Happily with Your Pet

Before bringing a pet into your home, make sure your family is prepared for the responsibilities of caring for a pet, including housing, life expectancy, and the costs of care. Commit to caring for your pet responsibly for its entire life.

●Take Care of Your Dog’s Toilet Needs Before Walks

Have your dog relieve itself at home before going for a walk whenever possible. Always pick up and take home your dog's feces. If your dog
urinates outdoors:

1. Absorb it with a pet pad.
2. Pour water over the area.
3. Wipe up the water with the pet pad.

●Keep Your Dog on a Leash

To help prevent accidents, always keep your dog on a leash during walks and hold the leash short.

●Keep Cats Indoors

As a general rule, keep cats indoors to help protect them from traffic accidents and infectious diseases, as well as to prevent problems with neighbors.

●Be Prepared for Disasters

Don't forget to prepare emergency supplies for your pets so that you'll be ready in the event of a disaster.

●Good Manners Help Build a Better Community

Small acts of consideration by pet owners help create a community where both people and pets can live together safely and comfortably.
