Disaster Prevention Information E-mail Service

Minato City disseminates seismic intensity, water level, and amount of rainfall via email that users can access on mobile phones and computers. In the event of a disaster, get accurate information that helps you to secure safety. Information is also disseminated through the Minato City Website, the Minato City official Twitter and Facebook accounts, and the Minato City Disaster Prevention App.

 

• Information Provided

Earthquake Information

When an earthquake with an intensity of shindo 4 or greater is measured in Minato City, you receive the earthquake intensity data and a warning message.

 

Water Level Information

You will receive a warning or alert information based onthemeasurements taken at Furukawa River water level gauges, which are installed in Azabujuban (Shin-Hiroo Park) and Shirokane3-chome (Shirokane Park).

《Warnings》
When the water has risen to a level that is 2m from the riverbank, a warning is sent out.

《Alerts》
When the water has risen to a level that is 1m from the riverbank, an alert is sent out.

 

Rain Volume Information

When the measurements indicated below are recorded by two or more of the nine rain gauges installed around the city, you receive a warning or alert information.

《Warnings》
More than 25mm, up to 30 mm in an hour
More than 10mm, up to 20 mm in a 15-min. period

《Alerts》
30mm or more in an hour
20mm or more in a 15-min. period
35mm or more in a 30-min. period

 

Other Disaster Information

Other disaster information is disseminated when deemed highly necessary based on the situation.
