Enroll in the FY2026 Minato City Residents’ Traffic Accident Injury Insurance

The Minato City Residents’ Traffic Accident Injury Insurance is a program offering a small premium. If you are injured in a traffic accident involving a vehicle, insurance benefits will be paid according to the number of days you receive inpatient/outpatient treatment and the treatment period.
There are also courses that include a Bicycle Liability Plan, which covers compensation for any damages from accidents in which you are at fault while riding a bicycle.

Eligibility

Anyone who lives, works, or studies in Minato City at the start of the insurance period

Insurance Period

From 12:00 a.m. on April 1, 2026, to Midnight on March 31, 2027

*For mid-year enrollment: From 12:00 a.m. on the first day of the month following the application date to Midnight on March 31, 2027

Courses and Premiums

There are seven courses with premiums ranging from 1,200 yen to 4,300 yen depending on the coverage. You may not enroll in multiple courses. For more details, please refer to the leaflet distributed at the Collaboration Project Section of each Regional City Office or visit the Minato City website.

Fill out the application form available at financial institutions in Minato City (banks, credit unions, labor banks, Japan Post Bank, and post offices), and apply with payment of the premium.
Group applications of 10 or more people (e.g., neighborhood associations) should be submitted to the Collaboration Project Section of your nearest Regional City Office.

Apply via the online application form.
Applications for mid-year enrollment will also be accepted after April 1.
