Please Note the Application Deadline for Child Allowance During the Year-End and New Year Holidays

To receive the child allowance, you must submit a certification application form within 15 days from the day after the date of birth or the date of moving into the ward (or the expected date of moving out).
This year, the ward office will be closed for nine days from Saturday, December 27 to Sunday, January 4.
Those who give birth or move into the ward (or have a scheduled moving-out date) between Friday, December 12 and Saturday, December 20 must submit the certification application form by Monday, January 5, the first business day of the new year. If submission is delayed, you will not be eligible to receive the allowance for January. If you submit the form on or after Tuesday, January 6, payments will begin from February or later.
Submit the certification application form at the counter of the Residents Support Section, Health and Welfare Subsection of your nearest Regional City Office, by mail, or via online application.
For applications submitted by mail, the application date will be the date the City Office receives the form.
The certification application form can be obtained from the Residents Support Section, Health and Welfare Subsection at Regional City Offices or downloaded from the Minato City website.
