Period of Suspension for Resource and Waste Collection Services

There will be no resource or waste collection from Wednesday, December 31, 2025, to Saturday, January 3, 2026.

*1: Temporary collection will be conducted because of the long interval. Regular collection resumes on Monday, January 5.

*3: Please place your recyclables and waste out by 8:00 a.m. (by 7:30 a.m. in designated areas).

*4: Do not place recyclables or waste at the collection sites during the suspension period (Dec. 31 to Jan. 3). Some areas may have collection on Dec. 31.

*5: Collection may be delayed because of the increased waste volume and traffic congestion during the holidays.

Year-End and New Year Office Hours for the Minato Recycling and Cleaning Office

The office will be open until 4:25 p.m. on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, and reopen at 7:40 a.m. on Monday, January 5, 2026.
During the year-end and New Year period, the amount of waste increases significantly.
Please cooperate to help maintain a clean environment for the New Year.

Procedure for Disposing of Oversized Waste

(1) Apply
Apply via the internet or by phone to the Minato Oversized Waste Reception Center.

*Since applications are processed in the order of receipt, collection may not be possible within the year depending on the application date. Please apply early.

Mina to Oversized Waste Reception Center

(2) Purchase an Oversized Waste Disposal Ticket
After applying, purchase the necessary number of Minato Paid Oversized Waste Disposal Tickets at a nearby sales outlet.

(3) Put Out the Oversized Waste
Write your name or application number and collection date on the purchased ticket, attach it to the oversized waste, and place the waste at the designated location by 8:00 a.m. on the collection day.

Door-to-Door Collection of Resources and Waste

Staff from the Minato Recycling and Cleaning Office visit homes to collect waste from the doorstep. If no waste is set out without prior notice, the office will coordinate with the relevant agencies to confirm the resident’s safety.

Eligibility

Households designated by the ward that have difficulty bringing waste to the collection points and cannot receive assistance from neighbors.
