Minato Pre-mama (Expectant Mothers) Support Program

All expectant mothers are offered a consultation with a midwife and receive a parenting support gift package. Please make a reservation through the Minato Maternal and Child Health Handbook App.

Postpartum Mother and Baby Care Short-Stay Program

Mothers after childbirth and their infants under four months of age can stay at participating medical institutions and receive professional care and support. Minato City provides financial assistance for stays of up to 7 days and 6 nights.

Tokyo Saiseikai Central Hospital, Aiiku Hospital, Aiiku Postpartum Care & Parenting Station, Toto Bunkyo Hospital, St. Luke ’s Maternity Care and Birth Clinic, Japanese Red Cross Medical Center, Toranomon Hospital, Sanno Hospital and The Jikei University Hospital

Postpartum Mother and Baby Care Day Service & Breast Care Program
(Outpatient and Home-Visit Services)

Mothers who need support, for example, those without assistance from family members after childbirth or those experiencing breastfeeding concerns, together with their children under one year of age, may receive postpartum day care and breast care services.
Minato City provides financial assistance for up to six day-service visits and six breast care sessions (either outpatient or home-visit services).
